Adjunctive Cancer Treatment

Complementary therapies to aid in decreasing side-effects and improve pain tolerance, alongside your conventional cancer treatment

Complementary cancer therapy

When medical treatments are used in conjunction with complementary therapies that aim to decrease side-effects and improve pain tolerance, patients become the focus of care. Naturopathic cancer care may be a valuable consideration for families dealing with cancer.

Conventional cancer treatment often includes surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Alongside it, complementary cancer therapy includes nutritional supplements, enzymes, dietary changes, detoxification, lifestyle changes, stress control and biofeedback.

Your oncology team

Your oncology team directs the treatment of the cancer itself. Naturopathic care focuses on supporting you as a whole person alongside that treatment.

Our goal is to help you tolerate treatment, manage symptoms, and feel informed and supported throughout your care.

The immune system

The immune system plays a role in how the body responds to cancer.

Despite notable improvements in chemotherapy and radiation technologies, these approaches can affect the immune system, and many people look for ways to support their health after treatment.

Complementary therapies may help support the immune system and quality of life during and after these treatments.
